How managers can utilise artificial intelligence for themselves

Berlin. AI can make everyday work much easier - even in management. However, managers mainly limit themselves to chatbots such as ChatGPT in their day-to-day work. This is shown by a survey of 1,000 German managers conducted by the opinion research institute Civey.

AI can do much more than just collate facts and suggest formulations. It can create analyses, check business plans or run through scenarios for investment decisions, for example. Handelsblatt spoke to an expert and three experts about their favourite AI tools and how they can be used by managers. One of them even tried to replace himself with AI.

According to the Civey survey, managers see great potential in the use of AI, particularly in knowledge management. Martin Manhembué is Professor of Data Science Management at the Digital Business University of Applied Sciences, a private university based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. "When used correctly, managers can save an incredible amount of time with AI," he says.
