Prof. Dr. Haya Schulmann is a professor of computer science at Goethe University Frankfurt and a LOEWE Professor of Excellence. She is a member of the board and Director of Communications and International Cooperation at the ATHENE National Research Center, where she heads several research divisions. In addition, she chairs the Scientific and Strategic Advisory Board of the Heilbronn State Graduate Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (LGZ AI).

Her research focuses on cybersecurity, routing security, cryptography, and the security of artificial intelligence. She has published over 130 scientific papers at leading international conferences and uncovered numerous critical vulnerabilities (CVSS > 9) in internet infrastructures and implementations. Her work is referenced by the FCC, the White House (ONCD Routing Security Roadmap), and in national cybersecurity strategies, among others. She serves as an expert advisor to the German Bundestag (including on NIS2), is a member of Enquete commissions, and shapes the public debate in publications such as the FAZ, Behörden-Spiegel, Heise, Golem, and The Register, as well as through her speaking engagements at international conferences.
