Interview: Brain-Computer Interface: Pushing the Frontiers of Science & Tech
Max Hodak is the co-founder and CEO of Science, a full-stack neural engineering company. Its mission is to restore and extend life by transcending the limits of biology. Max leads a team of over 200 engineers and scientists supported by $500 million in funding. The company’s PRIMA implant (featured in The New England Journal of Medicine and on the cover of Time) is the first brain-computer interface shown in clinical trials to restore functional central vision. Science is also building biohybrid interfaces that use living neurons to connect with the brain, and its Vessel initiative is developing advanced perfusion circuits to support organ transplantation and critical care. Prior to Science, Max was President of Neuralink.
