Panel: Who Owns the Narrative: Media, Truth and Power in the Age of AI
Noel Curran has been Director General of the EBU since September 2017. He previously worked as Director General, Managing Director of Television and Editor of Current Affairs at the Irish broadcaster RTÉ. A longstanding advocate of public service media, Noel is also an award-winning investigative journalist and producer whose work has earned numerous journalism awards. His career has spanned major live television events, including the Eurovision Song Contest, election coverage, entertainment and factual programming. He studied at Trinity College Dublin and graduated from Dublin City University in European Studies and Communications, with a focus on broadcasting policy. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Journalism at Dublin City University.
