Vanessa Vohs is a doctoral candidate at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and an associated member of the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) in Bochum. She holds an LL.M. in International Law from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a B.A. in International Relations from TU Dresden and the Hebrew University Jerusalem.
Her research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in defence applications and regulatory frameworks governing autonomy in weapons systems. As a consultant in European defence cooperation projects, she was responsible for legal and ethical project management.
Alongside her professional work, she is training as a reserve officer in the German Space Command.
