Alexander Brem is an Endowed Chaired Professor of Entrepreneurship in Technology and Digitalization, funded through the Mercedes-Benz Foundation of the Stifterverband, and Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Since October 2024, he has been a member of the Rectorate of the University of Stuttgart as Vice Rector for Science Transfer and International Affairs. In addition, Alexander Brem is an Honorary Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Southern Denmark.

Alexander Brem is recognized as one of the most research-active business and management professors in German-speaking countries and beyond and his research focuses on technological innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, Alexander Brem holds various advisory roles and he is also an IEEE Senior Member and Editor of the IEEE Engineering Management Review journal, among other editorial engagements.
