Christian Rickens

Christian Rickens studied Journalism and Economics at the Deutsche Journalistenschule in Munich and at the London School of Economics, where he graduated with an MSc. Following this, he worked for three years as a freelance business journalist, contributing to publications such as brand eins, Die Zeit, and the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 2000, he became a staff reporter at Manager Magazin and was appointed head of the business & economics desk at Spiegel Online in 2011. Since 2015, he has been with Handelsblatt, where he was appointed editorial director in 2020. Since 2022, he has been presenting the day's events in the Handelsblatt Morning Briefing. For his journalistic work, he has won several awards. Additionally, Rickens has authored four books, most recently "At the Top: How Germany's Millionaires Really Live."
