Dr. Lei Berners-Wu brings nearly two decades of experience in transforming European global technology champions, from tradition to pole position.
Born and educated in Guangzhou, China with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from California, USA, Lei firmly believes that an open and pragmatic mindset towards partnerships and executional excellence can expedite scaling up European Deep-Techs to global heavy-weights.
As Global Head of Industrial Business at Rolls Royce Power Systems, she grew the industrial business to one billion Euro and paved the way for long-term sustainable growth. Prior to this, she was CEO of the Coroflex division of the family-owned Coroplast Group based in Germany, where she grew the business significantly despite COVID and supply chain disruptions. She spent the first decade of her career in various leadership positions in R&D, production, sales and marketing at Robert Bosch GmbH, where she significantly scaled up the new businesses in automotive electronic manufacturing service, e-mobility, and Industry 4.0.
