Dr. Tina Klüwer joined the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in December 2023 as Director-General of Directorate 5 “Research for Technological Sovereignty and Innovation”.
Previously, she was Director of K.I.E.Z. - the Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurship Center in Berlin. K.I.E.Z. is an initiative of Science & Startups, the association of startup services of the Berlin universities and Charité Universitätsmedizin.
Before the launch of K.I.E.Z., Klüwer was the founder and CEO of parlamind GmbH, a provider of customer service automation using artificial intelligence and language processing.
She worked as a scientist for 10 years at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and various universities and received her doctorate in computational linguistics from Saarland University.
